Welcome back to the blog! I've been at it for a while this year and cleared my backlog a few entries ago. I'm gonna go at my own pace for a while. Hope you enjoy this one! Somehow this isn't even the only blog I've done on a character named Kit lol.
Background
“I'm not a furball! I… am… A TOON!”
Layla Buyer is your average ninth grader with a love for doodling original characters and playing tabletop games with her friends. She has also been brainstorming an idea for a webcomic, but none of her ideas stuck. However, she didn't expect one of her most recent scrapped concepts to turn her life upside down.
In her downtime, she designed a glob of ice cream with feline features and the power to do anything: Kit the Ice Cream Cat. Layla even drew her a little mouse friend. Before she could name him, she decided the idea of a webcomic following these two was a dumb idea and threw the sketch in the trash.
Little did she know, Kit would come to life and slither out of the trash can along with the mouse, who she named Squeaks.
As a newborn toon, Kit is curious and naïvely optimistic about the world. She has an excitable personality and is super talkative, which contrasts Squeaks' short-temperedness.
Kit and Squeaks don't have much time to bask in the real world; who knows what would happen if Layla learned they were real. They escape into the pages of their creator's drawing book, but Kit is too slow and comes face to face with a flabbergasted Layla. Kit doesn't have much time to explain, as Squeaks pulls her further inside.
The duo find themselves in a fantasy world. Turns out the book is a guidebook for a fantasy tabletop game Layla plays. The toons can enter any story they wish, and they get sidetracked with adventuring in this DnD-esque world.
As Kit and Squeaks go on their own adventures, Kit discovers more about herself and what she's capable of. She is a cartoon created with the power to do anything, and that extends further beyond her toonforce antics. She can interact with the panels of her own webcomic and pull out characters' thought bubbles. She also learns that once stories are completed or scrapped, these worlds fade into nothingness.
Kit and Squeaks' misadventures derail a tabletop campaign Layla hosted and embarrassed her when they popped back into the real world. Layla resents them, thinking she was right to throw them in the trash. Kit is understandably in tears after hearing those words from her creator, but Squeaks tells Layla to give her some slack. All she ever wanted was her approval. She didn't ask to be created and tossed aside.
Layla ends up being dragged into their escapades when they enter the world of her favorite webcomic. While exciting and dangerous, it also comes with the consequence of Layla inheriting qualities of a toon.
Kit and Squeaks still have so much to learn and explore, but more than anything they have to settle things with Layla. Maybe then, Layla can reciprocate Kit's love for her.

In-universe it hasn't been a full day since Kit was first brought into reality. She was created with absurd cartoony powers that she's continuously learning about. She lacks experience in, well, everything, but she is a fast learner. It hasn't been a day in-universe since the webcomic began, and yet Kit has already fought alongside knights, battled sci-fi soldiers, and already has an acute grasp over her toonforce.

Kit isn't at risk of melting in the heat, but her body is still cold and goopy. Prior to drawing herself feet, she moved by slithering around. Kit can also generate magic ice cream to gift to others. It's the tastiest mint chocolate chip ice cream anyone will ever have in their lives. It's so yummy that after putting the eater in a trance-like state, their strength is boosted.

Toons screw with the fourth wall often, and Kit is no exception. She's aware of the existence of panels in her comic and can interact with them. She can look ahead into future panels and hop into them. Kit can see other characters' thought bubbles and pull out portions of them. Onomatopoeia characters that appear in the webcomic like "menacing" are visible to her.

Wormhole and Portal Creation and Dimensional Travel
That sure is a wormhole connected to a whole other story. She has to be careful to not leave them unchecked, since they can grow to the point that they start breaking apart planets. Not only that, but random bullshit can be drawn into the wormhole, "altering the laws of reality" of the universe.
She can also just create small portals with her pencil to hop through one and come out another in a different location.

Kit is a toon capable of all sorts of classic cartoony gags. She can pull off the classic painted tunnel joke and summon a comedically timed anvil. Her most original example is when she redirected a laser being shot at her by moving the crosshairs pointed at her.

- Kit's over-eagerness to whisk her pals on adventures can be detrimental to those around her
Matchup Potential
I love the idea of a scrapped OC being brought to life trying to catch the attention of their creator. It's a more wholesome execution compared to other examples I've seen. Along with being able to play off her toonforce hijinx, an ideal opponent would pair well with how Kit is a fictional character that ventures into other series and learns more about herself along the way.
